last weekend we celebrated my 32nd birthday. since the day kind of snuck up on me, i hadn’t really thought too much about what i wanted to do on the actual day, but a few days before i decided that a little road trip up the coast to orange county sounded like the best idea. so that’s what S and i did, woke up early, grabbed starbucks, and headed up to the sleepy beach town of corona del mar. it was there that we tracked down this cute little footbridge with the most gorgeous pink blooms lining its walkway.

we didn’t end up staying in orange county very long since the weather was definitely having a “june gloom” moment, but we did spend a few minutes wandering “the flower streets” and admiring the gorgeous houses and their equally as gorgeous landscaped yards. i had mentioned in last week’s “it’s friday, i’m in love” post that my mom and i had a shopping date on friday. unfortunately it was mostly a bust, but i did managed to snag this adorable jumpsuit from j.crew that i turned out to be the perfect outfit to celebrate my special day. after searching for the perfect white cardigan for months, i spotted this cropped version also in j.crew’s latest collection and ordered it during one of their recent promotional sales. the two pieces paired perfectly to keep me warm amidst the dreary weather.
to accent the blue and white striped pattern of the jumpsuit, i wore my newest natalie borton necklace, featuring a gorgeous glass bead in what she describes as “cloudy sky.” given the weather, it proved to be the perfect accent piece in more ways than one.
but don’t worry, eventually we found the sunshine. we headed back down the coast and straight to our happy place -bernardo winery (our wedding venue) for a glass of wine and to reminisce about our magical day.
thank you again for all of the birthday love!

That is such a darling jumpsuit, and you snagged the perfect light sweater to complete the look. Head to toe… you’re just darling. The location is so pretty. Thanks for taking your post on a tour of Corona del Mar… an absolutely gorgeous location. I love your posts. You’re the best. (GREAT photos Mr R.)

It’s one of my new favorite outfits for sure! Isn’t the bridge adorable? Thank you as always for the love for both me and the Mister. xoxo
