this friday, i’m in love with…
madewell x as ever || madewell’s latest partnership is pastel perfection. the brand teamed up with as ever for a capsule collection of easter-egg colored pieces -from coveralls to sweatshirt tees. personally, i’d love to snag this sky blue jumpsuit (recently seen on mandy moore), but i’m nervous it’s no match for my awkwardly long torso. at any rate, the color palette is so pretty, it’s just nice to admire the pieces regardless.
white blouses || as we inch closer and closer to spring, i find myself gravitating toward lighter fabrics and simplistic designs. enter the white blouse. it’s such a closet staple and has the ability to elevate a pair of jeans from casual to chic. one day, i’ll treat myself to a sezane beauty, but until then, stores like h&m, zara, anthropologie, and loft are offering some really pretty (and affordable) options right now:
just bought this one and am heavily considering this one, too!
homemade hummus || thanks to kelly leveque, i may never eat store-bought hummus again! this week i made a batch of homemade hummus and it couldn’t have been easier (or tastier!). simply drain and dump a can of chickpeas into a food processor, add garlic (or garlic powder if you don’t have a clove on hand), about 1/4 cup of olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste, and blend and voila, a tasty greek dip for your crackers and crudite. my favorite go-to lunch these days is baby carrots & snap peas, avocado, hummus, and a few jilz crackers. yum!
favorite outfits from the week include: marissa’s workout wear, chrissy’s pregnancy style, julia’s polka dots & shannon’s bow flats
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
spring trend: buttons!
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
a long-awaited facial
dinner at stone brewery (where we had our rehearsal dinner while it was pouring rain!)
S & my weekly coffee + beach walk date (would you believe it’ll be my first visit here?!)
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
i can honestly say that this week was one of the better ones in recent memory. it started off strong with the kelly leveque book event at four moons spa. i actually ran into kelly at a coffee shop across the street from the event about a half an hour before but was too nervous to say hi. when i arrived to the signing, she recognized me, gave me a big hug, and called me her “coffee buddy.” what a gem! i can’t wait to dive into her book (which she signed!) this weekend -i’ve already dogeared a few more of her recipes. then of course wednesday was valentine’s day. i’ve never really been a big celebrator of the holiday but it was pretty wonderful to have a mid-week date with my husband. we got take-out, lit candles, and exchanged cards. it was all very sweet. as far as the weekend goes, i’m really looking forward to a little self-care -in the form of a facial and a manicure/pedicure, date night, and our sunday tradition. gosh i love the weekends.
have a great one!
xoxo

Thank you, thank you! All of Sezane’s pieces are so dreamy, don’t you think? Hope you have a great weekend, too. Let me know if you make the Freezer Fudge. xoxo
