i’m a firm believer that everyone should own a frivolous and/or seemingly impractical piece of clothing in their closet just because it makes them happy. i have a tulle skirt (which i lovingly refer to as my “adult tutu”), a gold shimmery maxi, and this polka dot gem that i wore in our engagement photos that speak to this very point. sure, i may not wear them more than a couple times a year, but just knowing that they are part of my wardrobe and at my disposal when i’m in need of a pick-me-up brings me great joy.

which is why i could easily justify adding a pair of pink wide-leg cropped pants to my wardrobe. i mean, can you really have a bad day while wearing pale pink trousers? (i’m going to venture and say “no”). if we’re keeping score, this is pair number FIVE of everlane’s wide-leg cropped pants for yours truly. but as i mentioned in this post, when you find something that works for your body and makes you feel like a million bucks, you better believe it’s worth snagging them in all the colors.
