this friday, i’m in love with…
beautycounter’s no. 3 balancing + charcoal facial mask || i waited to post about this until after i had tried this mask on a few separate occasions, but after a handful of applications i can speak to the fact that this mask is a mini miracle worker. made with kaolin clay, salicylic acid, and charcoal, the mask works quickly (only leave it on for 10 minutes!) to balance skin, draw out impurities, and refine pores. i don’t know about you, but i LOVE a good face mask and this one has been a great addition to my current skincare routine.
natalie borton’s styling session || this week my friend natalie did an amazing styling session on her instagram stories remixing these faux leather leggings (which are a part of the nordstrom anniversary sale). it was so inspiring to see how many different looks she created for a variety of seasons/occasions and it made me excited to continue do similar sessions of my own (did you catch my everlane wide-leg crop styling challenge this week on instagram stories?). it also made me super excited to plan outfits for fall and maybe even convinced me that i need a pair of the leggings of my own?!
in my online shopping cart: these vintage straight leg jeans, this tie-front top, this peplum sweatshirt, this ruffle-sleeve tee, obsessed with this sweater
favorite outfits from the week include: natalie’s white button-down & denim, kendi’s polka dots, jess’ jumpsuit & kate’s overalls
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
i’m going to restyle this jumpsuit for a date night out
TBD!
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
going to the pony room at rancho valencia!
dusting off the grill for a sunday bbq and enjoying our new patio furniture
a manicure/pedicure
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
summer date night + style reflections
nordstrom anniversary sale picks
hello, friday! i’m not gonna lie, it was a particularly great week and i’m very much looking forward to an even better weekend. after living in san diego all my life, we’re finally going to the pony room at rancho valencia for dinner with my parents and i seriously can’t wait. a visit to the acclaimed resort has been on my list of things to do for years! besides our double date, S and i are going to shop for a full-length mirror and stop by our local nursery for some advice on updating the landscaping in the backyard. just living that domesticated life, guys, and loving every minute of it!
have a great weekend. see you next week!
