recent loft purchases that i love

an alternative for the title of this post could also be “live, loft, love” (credit my witty husband).

if you asked me from which store most of my clothes hail from right now, i’d have to say loft! granted nearly everything i’ve purchased is a slightly different variation on a classic henley top, but what can i say? if you find something you like, snag it in every color/style!

aesthetics aside, what i love about all of these items is how well they’ve held up despite being worn and washed multiple times per week. at this stage of life, if it’s not going to withstand a journey through the spin cycle to remove peanut butter puff residue (ew), it doesn’t make sense having it in my closet. ANYWAY, the following items have been on heavy rotation for a few months now (some since last year) and chances are you’ve seen them a time or twelve in my stories or in my feed. with loft continuing to serve up some seriously cute (and affordable!) options, i felt the need to compile all of my favorite pieces in one place. the great news is that most of the pieces are still in stock in a variety of color choices and sizes!

ribbed henley sweater (wearing a small) -i’m honestly shocked this sweater is still in stock considering i purchased it last winter (look at how little the twins were in the photo directly above!). while it is only available in the grey, i can attest to the fact that the grey is extremely versatile as i have worn it with everything from workout leggings (again, see above), to jeans, to midi skirts. i love the slightly ballooned sleeves and the ribbed fabric. i wash mine inside out on medium speed and hang them dry. the extra attention has kept them looking like new!

ribbed henley top (wearing a small) -oh look nearly the same top in a slightly thinner fabric! like i said, if you find something that works, there is no shame in scooping up a few more to fill your sartorial arsenal. similar to the sweater, i’ve paired this top with plenty of denim (my $22 jeans, of course) and midi skirts. it has a slimmer fit which is why i love pairing it with a looser-fitting bottom. while i haven’t yet done it, i would also love to try it layered under overalls (just ordered these). i own it in the cream and black (shown below), but it also comes in a pretty pale pink shade as well.

oh and if you think i’m done buying henley tops, you are sadly mistaken. i just ordered this ribbed henley tee in the peanut color (also love the vine green shade). i may or may not have a problem…

lou & grey cozy cotton henley sweatshirt & cozy cotton terry shorts (wearing a small in both) -i’ve talked about this set ad nauseum, but it really is that good. loft’s kid-sister (or fun aunt?) brand, lou & grey has some of the BEST loungewear sets on the market. i initially snagged the terry co-ord in white, but once it went on sale (PSA -put all of the desired items in your online cart and WAIT for a sale, it’s coming, i promise), i had to treat myself to the terra cotta version as well. i’ve worn both sets as sets numerous times, but have also worn the pieces separately. as my search for the perfect denim shorts continues, i’m staying cool in the summer-like temperatures we’ve sporadically been experiencing in drawstring cotton shorts instead. just yesterday i wore them with my favorite ribbed racerback tank, running shoes, and a giant straw hat for an easy mom-on-the-go outfit. i plan on pairing the sweatshirt with these shorts (also a recent order, when they went on sale for FIFTY PERCENT OFF!) and my birkenstocks because #comfort. i find lou & grey to fit a bit generously so you could size down in both items for a less slouchy fit. slouchy is my middle name (just kidding, it’s leeann) so i am happy i decided to stick with the small. lou & grey just released an orangey + white striped version of the set and now i’m trying to restrain myself from adding a third to my collection. i’m making no promises, though.

i get a small commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post. thank you for supporting the brands that keep this blog up and running.
