it’s been a minute since i updated my activewear collection, especially since weaning the twins in april. while my sports bras have certainly served me well, i think it might be time to retire them. if only for the fact that they remind me of a very specific time of the postpartum season.
ANYWAY, i’ve had my eye on a few styles for months now and i figured that on the eve of a new season (yay fall!), it might just be the perfect time for a little refresh. here are the items currently atop my wish list:
lululemon align high-rise 8″ bike short || part of me really wishes i jumped on the bike shorts trend more during pregnancy because i think they’re so cute with a bump, but 15 months postpartum is as good of a time as any to get on board, right?! i’ve been quietly keeping tabs on some of my favorite influencers and their favorite bike shorts brands and it seems like good ol’ lululemon align bike shorts are the ones to beat! my little sister also sang their praises when she wore them with a cute ribbed tank on her recent visit to see the twins. i’ll probably stick to classic black, but they come in a variety of colors and lengths (depending on your height).
vuori daily legging || i treated S and myself to vuori joggers last winter (cannot wait to pull them back out once the temperatures drop again) and they definitely lived up to the hype so i’d love to add a pair of their daily leggings to my workout wardrobe, too! i love what vuori stands for and the fact that they are based in my hometown -encinitas, california!
fp movement high-rise 7/8 length good karma leggings || i bought target dupes of these free people leggings and wore them all during pregnancy but sadly they no longer make the affordable version so i think it might be time to invest in the real thing. i’ve heard such good things about free people activewear and i’m dying to try it out for myself! the washed grey color is at the top of my list.
fp movement happiness runs crop || i just may be the last person to own this cropped top (i’ll wear it as a sports bra). it comes in a zillion colors, can be worn as an actual top or sports bra and seems to be as comfortable as a broken-in pair of jeans.
fp movement happiness runs flirty crop || the same top as above, but flirty. just add a ruffle and i’m immediately on board. i would definitely wear this top on its own in the summer (or during a sweaty barre class), especially paired with these matching shorts.
aerie offline ribbed seamless strappy back sports bra || whew, say that three times fast! aerie (a branch of the american eagle brand) has been one of my go-to places for inexpensive yet quality activewear over the years and their offline collection continues to impress me. i love the look of this new style and think it would be very flattering on chests of all sizes!
