madewell new arrivals (+ beauty!) || madewell launched pieces from their late fall collection as well as their curated beauty cabinet filled with their favorite tried and true skincare and beauty products. of course i want one of everything. per usual, i’m loving their abundance of neutrals -including a gorgeous orangey-rust color as well as texture in the form of velvet and sparkle. below are some of my favorite items:
gal meets glam + frye boots || this collaboration makes me so happy! i’ve followed julia and her blog, gal meets glam, for years and it has been both exciting and inspiring to see her growth and success in the past year especially. she recently collaborated with frye boots to design a signature boot style with her famous feminine flair. the boot comes in both pink and taupe and features a mid-ankle shaft height with an adorable ribbon lace-up detail. they’ve obviously just been moved to the top of my wishlist. you can purchase them here.
plus two more things:
- this is a really great article i read with advice from a doula on pregnancy. as we look toward starting our family soon, i was really comforted by all of her wise counsel. worth a quick read!
- i finally bit the bullet and ordered myself a pair of everlane denim (i opted for the modern boyfriend style in the mid blue wash). while on the whole positive, the reviews tend to offer a wide-range of opinions. i’ll be interested in seeing how they fit. i ordered my normal size for a true “boyfriend style” fit, though many customers recommend sizing down. stay tuned!

i can’t believe it’s the last weekend of october and halloween is on tuesday! we never get trick-or-treaters so i think S and i might have ourselves a date night that evening —sans costumes. anyway, it’s supposed to be cooling down over the weekend and into next week which makes my little fall fashion heart very happy. three cheers for busting out a sweater (and not sweating in it!). happy weekend, loves! see you next week.
