this friday, i’m in love with…
chloe coin necklace || my girl, natalie is at it again creating some gorgeous pieces to launch in her shop in the new year. her latest piece of handmade jewelry is the chloe coin necklace which is giving me all the french-girl vibes and is definitely atop my wish list. while she’s taking the month of january off to enjoy a much-deserved break, she’ll be launching new items come february so mark your calendars now!
forever 21 sports bras || after a tip from one of my favorite rush cycle instructors, i checked out forever 21 to replenish my current sports bra supply. i found these and ordered the mauve and black in my size. when they arrived, they were even better than expected! at under $13 a piece, they’re a steal and feel just as high quality as a version triple the price.
netflix specials || thank goodness for netflix this time of year because television programming is a struuuuuugle right now. over the past few days S and i have watched both ellen’s stand-up special, relatable and the american meme documentary and they were highly entertaining (for very different reasons). with a free afternoon yesterday, i solo-watched dumplin’ based on the young adult novel and featuring music by the one and only dolly parton (also starring jennifer aniston). if you’re looking for some original programming to get you through the holiday hiatus, i recommend all three!
in my online shopping cart: i do a LOT of purchasing and returning. which is why i often have something shipped directly to the store so it makes returning it even easier should the item not work out. this week, i returned these jeans after they were a little too “mom jean” for my liking. instead, i took advantage of the final moments of madewell’s holiday sale and snagged this cute midi denim skirt (i’ve been looking for a good denim skirt for a year!) and i’m excited for it to arrive next week. besides that, the only thing i’ve seen recently that made me pause was this amazing sequined midi dress -perfect for a new year’s party. too bad we’ll be in pajamas by 9:00 p.m.!
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
put a bow on it
my christmas eve & day looks
these arrived yesterday and if i love them, i’ll post about them soon!
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend/next week:
trying a new-to-us restaurant for date night
obviously our holiday festivities!
having my husband home to play with me all next week
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
well, guys, we’ve made it! christmas is just days away and i’m ready to get into the spirit with our loved ones. as is customary, we’ll be making all the rounds -making sure to log time with every part of our family tree. i’m looking forward to carrying out our yearly traditions like gussying up for a fancy christmas eve feast with my parents and partaking in S’s grandmother’s christmas morning gathering. however you’re spending the next few days, i hope your celebrations are filled with love, laughter, and lots of delicious food. most importantly, i hope you take pause and remember the reason for this magical season. love y’all! see you next week.
