with each new calendar year comes a blank 365 days. 365 fresh canvases to splatter with the paint of life (how’s that for a metaphor?). and one of the things i love most about those unmarked 24-hour increments is the fact that i can fill them with trips to exotic (my definition of exotic might be a little different than yours) locales with family and friends.
and when i say exotic i mean san francisco, ca, nashville, tn and chicago, il. so yes, maybe i’m using a different dictionary entirely.
but at any rate, i have already booked and locked down my trip to country music capital usa to see the ever so lovely miss b (who is en route to her new home as we speak!) and solidifying my jaunts up the coast and to america’s heartland aren’t too far behind. and i think that will appease my severe case of wanderlust for a while.
and if not,
i also have the vow exchange of one miss m & her prince b in june (saratoga, ca), my yearly membership director’s conference in late september (vegas baby) as well as of what i hope to be many a weekend trip to the desert (outlet shopping and the fam’s annual trek to the indian wells tennis tourney in march) and orange county.
seeing as my zipper just broke on my trusty (well apparently not so trusty) go-to piece of carry-on luggage, i better get myself a replacement and stat!
so here’s to a year filled with better airport experiences, you know, the kind that romcoms are made of, oh and really awesome trips, too.
